A few words on the ride from Aaron…

The ride went really well, conditions were on our side with a slight northerly breeze pushing us down to Canberra. Day two started in a blanket of fog while riding through the most picturesque countryside southwest of Goulburn. The organisers tested us this year with a new ‘King of the Mountain’ challenge that pushed us all.

Not only physically challenging, it was also a very emotional trip hearing stories of those who had lost babies and how their precious little ones will never be forgotten.

A guest Professor leading research into stillbirths spoke at the finishers function on how the research is progressing and that funds raised are working towards the goal of zero loss of life.

The current rate of stillbirths in Australia is 8 a day – higher than the nation’s road death rate yet it struggles for funding and coverage.

Thank you to all my sponsors and everyone for giving some attention to this worthy cause.
